Who are we?

Our Background

Chris grew up in Canada and the United States. He did his undergraduate work in chemical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Chris began his career at Air Liquide where he designed and built gas and chemical systems for the semiconductor industry at companies like Intel, IBM, Motorola, Hyundai, and Wacker Siltronics. In 2003, he joined MIT's System Design and Management program with a focus on product design and technology selection. He became interested in System Dynamics and organizational behavior thanks to many of the classes at Sloan, working as a research and teaching assistant for several years. In 2005 he started Redwire, LLC a product design and development consultancy with an emphasis on providing electrical and computer engineering capabilities to diverse clients in many fields. He volunteers actively in Cambridge, MA in parent organizations and as a coach of baseball and soccer.

Miha was born in Slovenia and grew up in Thailand. He attended university in Germany where he studied business and literature. Miha began his career at Deloitte where he worked on financial analysis and due diligence reporting. In 2002, he joined Shell where he worked on various downstream projects in Europe. He earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin with a focus on virtual leadership, strategy and trust building. He currently teaches at the McCombs School of Business and the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT Austin and is a program coordinator with the Certified Public Management program at Texas State University. He is also a partner at Engage Leadership Consulting – a boutique human capital consulting firm – and a mentor for MBA students & entrepreneurs. Miha serves on the Board of Habitat for Humanity Texas. He currently lives in Austin, TX with his wife, two cats, and a dog.

Our History

Realized, LLC was formed in 2013 as a strategic management consulting spin-off from Chris' original consultancy Redwire, LLC which specialized in product design and development work for companies such as Hasbro, Analog Devices, Toyota, and Puma as well as local entrepreneurs and startups who needed specialized tools and development work.

In an effort to help keep client IP appropriately compartmentalized, existing Redwire client data and engineering information is kept wholly separate. New clients are brought on as Realized, LLC clients for management and leadership consulting services.

In 2020, Miha Vindis joined our team to push forward the scenario planning methodology popularized at Shell in the 70's. Miha's approach, based on his career at Shell and informed by his work at UT Austin, encourages much of the same scenario thinking and internal analysis but is more targeted, faster, and less resource intensive than many market alternatives.
